Black with 2 - November Challege

Hi Everyone

The weekend has finally arrived and I am looking forward to getting some craft time in.
Its unbelievable how fast we seem to fly through a week and with the crazy season approaching it doesn't leave much me time, which is my craft time.  My daughter and I started our Christmas shopping yesterday, I love just casually wandering around looking for that perfect gift, I found a few things that I'm sure will be welcomed by the receiver.

Now on to what I have been creating, I played along with the Black with 2 Challenge.  The colours were singing summer and I remembered this pic I snapped in Instagram of my husband walking on the beach.  Sigh!!!  can't believe its been almost a year since we had that 3 day break, fortunately we are going away at the end of next week for a much needed 5 day break, bliss!!!  Who doesn't love staying in a resort.

MY TAKE

I used gesso on the background and then used my gelato's along with stamps to create a fun background. Unfortunately the photo mat is photographing white rather than the soft butter colour as is my lighter blue colour.

Some close ups of the stamping.

SUYS Challenge

Hi everyone

Its a gorgeous day here in Sunny Queensland, although I am not complaining we are in desperate need for some water.....so please....send us some!!!

This week challenge over at Show Us Your Stuff is "Choose Your Own Scrap Adventure" If you would like to check it out and play along just click on the link above.

For this challenge I decided to use a canvas,  usually I'm not into these sort of dust collecting items, however I need a present for someone special.   For the person that has everything  I thought they would probably love this for their wall.  Or at least I have given them something else to dust, lol.

I used the beautiful By the Sea Collection from Graphic 45, and a mixture of blooms from Prima.  I have added the word Life and my embellishment is a transparent butterfly.  I used a brick stencil to create the background and added a couple of mini photos as required in the challenge. My hand made item is the little two little clay button like flowers on the left hand side of the flower spray.

The die cut pieces used are from Joy's Crafts, the waves and seahorse, love that they can be embossed after you have cut them out.

Well that's all from me this week and thankfully the weekend is right around the corner.
 Happy Scrapping everyone!!!
