Where has the time Gone?

Seriously where has the time gone,  I am so thankful that I completed my pages for Cést Magnifique before my family arrived as I have not had one chance to scrap.  Well my four month contract with Cést Magnifique has come to end, which was perfectly timed.   As I am not sure I could have managed such a heavy work load whilst they are staying along with a surprise visit from  my Aunt.  It was a very enjoyable experience working under the constraints of a kit not to mention to mention the time factor as well.  Leslie creates such a beautiful kit and the DT members were such a lovely group of ladies and it was great getting to know them.

Anyway I'm  already late getting this post up so unfortunately I don't have any close ups to show you but I do hope you enjoy looking at what I created this month.  All the pages have been created with not only the Kit but also the add ons.

Sister's Always

Seems this month has just flown by, whilst I am excited with my family visiting including a surprise visitor, I will be sort of glad once the Birthday Celebrations are over.  My DD is 18 today so her idea is that we will be celebrating right up until Saturday when we are having her actual party.  Then my Dads birthday is next followed by husbands, so the next 3 weeks apparently we will be living the Party life style...lol

I'm doing a quick stop by here first before we head of for the day and who knows where the night might end.

Cést Magnifique Reveal

I have used this picture before for my own album but thought my mum would also like a page for her Album as well, the black and white photos worked beautifully with this range of papers.

I created a flourish using the pearls and stamped with kit ink using one of my tattered angels stamp. I made a couple of rolled flowers as well.

July Kit

From my Stash
Lucky 8 Punch
Nestabilities Dies
Script Stamp on leaves
Quickuts Alpha Die
Sizzix Swirl die & 3D Flowers

Thanks for looking and for the rush but my DD is nagging to open her presents..lol  Have a great week everyone and thanks for stopping by and for any comments you may leave.

Take Care

FINALLY!!!

I was finally able to add the final touches to my page that I created over a week ago for my Colour challenge over at Colorful Creations.  I did make a fairly good attempt of getting it almost completed whilst I was away on the scrapbooking retreat but realised that I didn't bring any metal embellishments with me.  And since coming back home I have had my head down trying to get my DT work done.  My parents arrive this weekend so the next few weeks is about spending time with family and celebrating birthdays, we seem to have a lot in June and July.

This is my take on the colours, I printed the colours out on photo paper before I left for the weekend and then had to work with what I took with me.  My brown is photographing more like black in this, but it is what it is.

I thought the Song Bird range by Prima was perfect with the colours I put together and I have also used some oft the Meg's Garden Green Toile in the background.   My metal  is the butterfly and the little dress on the hanging sign.  Wet mediums used are, textured paste, glimmer mist and paint.  I sort of cheated with the journalling as its been added in after via digital.  I haven't had the chance to catch up with my Aunty to find out the real story behind this photo so I will add that later on.

Other Products Used - Dusty Attic Chipboard, Dimensional Pearls, Kaiser rubons, Prima Flowers, Matha Stewart punch, Echo Park stickers, Websters Alpha Stickers, Prima Gate Mask & Mistables, Cosmo Cricket paper, Twine and Glimmer mist.

Okay so this is a super rushed post, hopefully I haven't missed anything and please excuse any grammatical errors.  I'm sure there is some, some where....lol  I would also like to say a big thank you to those that have stopped by Colorful Creations and participated in this Challenge it means so much to see those that take the time to comment to come along and play along so THANK YOU!!!

Thanks also for you lovely comments you always leave as well, they are muchly appreciated.

Bye for now

Queens Birthday Long Weekend

Well our long weekend is nearly over and I had a  list of jobs I needed to get through outside ready for the 18th Birthday Bash, well  that didn't happen it rained non stop all weekend.  For some your probably thinking that it was an ideal scrap weekend, the only problem is my craft room is in a shed and it gets quite cold so scrapping was out of the question as well.  Oh well, I did however get a new mattress for my bed and can say I slept blissfully last night for the first time in ages.  On the other hand my husband reckons he had a terrible night sleep, hopefully that's just a settling in process as the likely hood of being able to cut the new and the old in half an joining them together is not going to happen, funny though.

I wanted to share with everyone that over at Cést Magnifique you have the chance to win the Bits & Pieces from Leslie's kit.  Our June kit, "My Cottage Garden", features paper from Les Papiers de Pandore (a French company) and Meg's Garden (Australia).  Here is a photo of what Leslie had left-over from her kit:

And here is a layout I did manage to get done whilst I was away on my scrapping retreat, I know pretty slack getting only one completed, but I do have another one I will share that I started whilst away and now have finished, just need it to stop raining so I can take a photograph.

The photo is of my DD opening one of her Christmas Presents, I had yet to scrap it and thought I would use something non traditional and document about the Fads that come go.

I saw this Prima paper line and wasn't overly keen on it until I saw it in the flesh and enjoyed working with it. Other products used are stickers from Bo-Bunny, Matha Stewarts punches, Dusty Attic Flowers.

Thanks for looking and be sure you pop on over the Cést Magnifique for you chance to win the left overs.

Also wanted to send a shout out to all those who have signed up at Colorful Creations, and those that have been making it part of your community by becoming active, the work in the gallery is looking amazing.  Don't forget most of the Challenges are now monthly and we are also having a Design Team Call.

Okay so this post wasn't as short as I had intended it to be so those that did get this far, thanks for reading and for all your lovely comments that you may leave in advance.

Bye for now

YAY!!! Its Friday

Looking for a fun little project to do, why not drop on over to Colorful Creations and check out the tag of the month by our Design Team member Andrew.   Tags a such a great way to try out a new technique and to use up some of those scraps lying around on your table.  Here is mine!!!

I used some left over Prima Song Bird paper and stitched around the outside of the tag and gave my new stamp set from the "Crafts Meow" a little work out.  I used a circle punch for the buttons and then dry embossed them with the Sizzix Embossing Folder "Vintage Buttons Set" and the top of the tag was also embossed with this set.

Criteria - use flowers, inking and at least 2 ribbons or twine.

I silver embossed the chipboard needle and ends of the scissors and wrapped the ribbon around the spool and then threaded up through the needle.

Other products used:  Prima flowers and ink Dark Rust, Dimensional Pearls, Kaiser rubon, Tattered Angels Marshmallow mist and Kaiser pink bling.

Have a great weekend I know we will as we have a 3 day break, gotta be happy about that.  And thank you for all your wonderful comments you left whilst I was away.

Bye for now

Just a little tired...

Just a little tired and weary from my weekend away of scrapbooking but wanted to quickly post the remaining pages from the C'est Magnifique June Kit. I had no add on kits for this one and found the basic kit easy to work with.  Not only did I make 5 pages but I was also able to make a card and tag using some of the packaging.  I'm not going to list all the products for each as I have listed product used over in the C'est Magnifique Gallery, so you can alway pop over there if you wish to see exact items.

Fun Memories - this is a picture of my Aunt, Daughter and mum in the background.  They took my DD up to O'Reilly and it was probably one of the last times that you could feed the birds before they started charging.

This is another one taken on the day, its amazing how they will just land on you.  I suppose the food helps.

I have scrapped this one before but I like to use the photo for each of my kids albums and then again for my own.

I thought these paper were perfect for getting out your punches,  paints and inks.  All red flowers have  been hand made.

With the packaging I thought I would also make a Card and Tag.

Last but not least I whipped these up with the remaining scraps, however I think I could still get another layout from the left overs, definitely worth every cent these kits.

I had cut the tag from some of the packaging, covered the back with some Kraft Cardstock and then used some  paper scraps and stickers for the front.

Last but not least my card, the base of the card is packaging which I then covered with some of the patterned paper then again I used some packaging that I have sanded to take of all the advertising then inked.  My nestabilities was used that looked a little similar to the Bo-Bunny Stickers. I cut the word FOR from one of the Bo-Bunny stickers using my QK Paige lettering.

Okay,  WOW that seemed long winded when you upload all at once lol.  I hope you've enjoyed seeing what  the Basic Kit can make I think its great to see what can be made without having to buy all the adds.

Hope everyone had a great weekend, I will be back again to update about my weekend although I didn't really get to create much.  In the meantime thanks again in advance for any comments you may leave.

Bye for now.
