Color Combos Galore - Palette 200

WOW, can you believe that Color Combos Galore has reached their 200th Palette, what an achievement!!! In honor of this we will be celebrating with a Blog Hop so keep an eye out over the next couple of days for your chance to win some prizes.

Now onto this weeks Palette, another bright one here and I loved the inspiration picture and prompt.

The technique challenge was to take inspiration from the melted dripping ice cream. I used paint and did a few splotches in white and I made the creamsicle colour by combining some paints, Vibrant Orange and some yellow paint to tone it down, this was painted onto my swirly mask and I spritzed with Maya Roads Cream Metallic. This is reverse masking. I then gave another little squirt with the Maya Roads, which is the slight silvery shimmer you can see on the cardstock.

I used my white gel pen to highlight the swirl a little more. The photo is of my DD and her Aunt, these shots were taken as they stood in the bucket from one of the big mining trucks at the open pit in Kalgoorlie, I have been wanting to scrap it for ages and this weeks colours were perfect. I have overlayed with a Kaiser filmstrip transparency.

I also stitched around the photo and the through the punched border strip.

Other products used are K & Company papers several different older lines, prima flowers and pearls, stickers from Websters, Kaiser bling strip and pearl brad. Other flowers are hand made.

Thanks for looking and I hope you have time to leave a comment or feel free to ask a question if their is something you would like to know and don't forget to keep an eye out for the blog hop.
