SCRAP AROUND THE WORLD - CHALLENGE 14

Well not only is this weekend flying by but it seems to the whole month has gone in a flurry!!!
The weather here has been on the cold side which means then I can't get out into the craft room as much as I would like. A fortnight ago I was away on a scrapping weekend with 12 other like minded scrappers, it was nice not having to pack up organise dinner or anything else for that matter.  No internet, no telephones just the bird singing and the cows watching us, well watching us when we stepped out to go for a walk.

This time around we discovered we had all come and gone to this weekend over the past 11 years, which a couple of newbies each year.  We can't always make each year but its certainly lovely to catch up and share our stories and look through photographs and see how much our children have all grown.  That alone is such a wonderful experience.  I did remember to take a few challenges along with me although I didn't get as many finished as I would have liked but that's okay as well.

I have already shared the Prima Page that I did now on to SCRAP AROUND THE WORLD'S challenge.  I spotted the colours over at the lovely Lynnda's blog Arty Scrappy.  I like an interesting challenge and I thought yellow isn't a colour I get to work with often why not give it ago!

Here is my take on the challenge

I took these Instagram shots of my husband whilst he was making his purchases at my favourite store "Wheel & Barrow", I'm a bit of a foodie and could spend quite a bit of time just combing my way through this beautiful store.  Anyway since I have been working full time and I am not home in time to cook, thankfully  my lovely husband has been picking up the slack.  On this particular day he treated himself to some good quality meat loaf tins.  Now whilst some might turn their nose up to meat loaf my husband has been experimenting, [chuckle] hence the paper I have scrapped on.  No just kidding,  he has not poisoned us at all they have been delish and worthy of lunches the next day, however we just like to joke with him.  It can get a little competitive at the dinner table as we like to have fun and score each out of 10 for our meals.

From the mood board I've gone with the colour from the flowers in the basket with  the bicycle added as a fun element to my page.  The background was created using texture paste and a mask, although I have covered a lot of that with my photos and I  have misted with Earl Gray and Gold.

Other Products Used:

Glitz Sunshine papers
Pink Paislee background paper
Mists - Maya Roads
Glits - Stickers
Overlays - We R memories
Transparency - Kaiser Craft
Quickutz month die cut
Glitter and sequins

Thanks for looking and enjoy your weekend.

Bye for now!!!
