OMG!!! The colours are just stunning this week over at Color Combos Galore, and I had the perfect photo to match. My friend asked me a couple of years ago to scrap some portrait shots of her nieces, and its taken me up until now to finally get around to it.
I also combined this Challenge with Once Upon a Sketch, we had to use a few sentences from a song so I chose "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds" from the Beetles.
The title reads "Lucy in the sky with" and I have scattered the bling for the diamonds. The sentence reads "Cellophane flowers of yellow and green, towering over your head, look for the girl with the sun in her eyes, and she's gone.
I used some Fancy Pants chipboard for the petals coming out beneath the patterned paper these have been stamped with a Prima stamp and teal versacolor, I then inked around the edge with a red ink. I have also stitched around the petal after I sanded some of the colour away.
I used a little bit of mesh ribbon for my bow and some cutouts from the Basic Grey range Olivia. A tag cut from the Cosmo Cricket Range "Nows a good thing" and also a piece of Graphic 45 scrap that I had. Main patterned paper is from Websters Country Estate and two paper embellishments Ticket and Love are from MME.
I border punched the cardstock up the top with Matha Steward Cherish punch and used some old sticker hinges that I had in my stash. Background cardstock is from Core-dinations Öxford".
Thanks for looking and please excuse any grammatical errors I may have made....lol and thank you in advanced if you feel like dropping me a comment. Hope to see you play along over at CCG or OUAS.
