Sketchabilities 133 Challenge

Hi everyone,

Back again with another share, this time its Sketchabilities gorgeous sketch!!!

I'm a big fan of their sketches and its been great getting the time to play along again.

My Take!!!
I flipped the sketch on this one, the stitched lines I have used a template along with textured paste.

After distressing the kraft cardstock and removing a circle from it I overlayed it on top of a Kaiser Craft paper "Sea Shells".  The photo I have used is of my husband looking out at the Ocean so this paper worked beautifully to help create a story on my page.

I also used my newly acquired Sand & Sea die from the Tim Holtz Alternations range and I cut these also from one of the "Sandy Toes" Collection from Kaiser.

Here are some close ups.  The sea horse and crab have been die cut from an old Sassafras sticker sheet, Mix Sweet Treats collections, the colours where perfect for this page.

Texture and dimension was added using textured paste, Prima blooms and stamping.

Thanks for looking and for any comments you may leave.

Happy Scrapping!!!!

Cardabilities 117 Challenge

Hi everyone,

Wow its been an absolutely hectic few months in my camp. Christmas has come and gone, along with all the relatives that stayed over the 2 week break.  That was topped with a couple of surgeries and as most of us say,  it usually goes in 3's, so we will finish the cycle with my son going in next week for a  major knee reconstruction.
Hopefully that is the 3 done and dusted, and we are underway to  recovery!!!

TOOT, TOOT
(why not seems everyone else does, lol)

For those that recularly pop in here, you would have seen from previous posts that I played along with the Prima 12 Days of Christmas Card Challenge.  On the 11th Day my card was selected as the winner and I was excited to receive my parcel of goodie last week.  My wish was for it to be loaded with flowers and I was not dissappoint, thank you so much Prima, no one can never not have enough flowers.

CARDABILITIES 117

Finally after fnishing the sketch over on Sketchabilities I played along with the card sketch.

http://cardabilities.blogspot.ca/

This is my take!!!

The background on my card was created using watered down Gesso and Whipped Spackle. Hmmm my learning curve here was that Kaiser cardstock is no way near as good as quality as Bazzill.

The close ups from these angles give you some idea of the layering I've created.

This one will be off to its new home next week, I hope the recipient loves it as much as I d0.
