Hi & Welcome
Thanks for dropping by! I hope you're having a relaxing weekend.
I'm still waiting for the weather to turn cooler but I did start my weekend end off with a lovely session of yoga. If nothing else I will be hot and flexible....lol...so to speak!!!!
Yesterday was my first Design Team reveal, I decided to make Easter cards.
Now the kids are older and we don't do the whole Easter egg hunt I'm trying to create some other little memorable moments for us. Firstly handmade cards and I've just invested in some more cookie cutters, so keep an out later in the month to see what I create.
If you haven't checked out Scrapmatts yet why not pop on over to http://scrapmatts.ning.com/ and check out what the other DT Members have been creating.
With Love
The great thing about creating cards is you not only gift something handmade to someone, you also use those scraps that just sit around. Distressing and stitching the edges of the paper before inking gives a great Shabby look. And I love pulling out all those metal die's that you only get to use once a year. I also used the Scrapmatts String Circles to create a larger egg shape around the cutout bunny.
MOMENT TO SHARE
Again I've used the String Circles and created a birds like nest to cradle the large Easter egg. Again I have stitched around the edges as well as the egg. Also used a Kaiser embossing folder to create more texture. Scrapmatts Words 28 was also used.
CELBRATE
On this one I cut out the egg shape in a patterned paper and then using decorative scissors I cut another one slightly larger in white cardstock.
Using my Quickutz rabbit die, I placed this in the middle of the egg so as to leave the cut rabbit shape behind. Rather than just leave it an empty space I then glued some printed transparency there to jazz it up a bit. On this one I have used Scrapmatts Scrap Words 08.
Well I hope you enjoyed my Easter Card Reveal and we would love you to pop on over and see what all the other Design Team members have been creating.
Thanks for looking and for any comments you take the time out to leave.
They are always appreciated
Bye for Now!!!!
Pretty creations!
