Monthly Challenge - Vintage Tag

Colorful Creations have a monthly tag challenge, this month being a Vintage Tag.  I've  never really made tags mostly because I am unsure of what to do with them once I have.  So I have a question, what would you do with them???  Would love to hear your thoughts or ideas if you have some.

I used a little bit of everything on this one.

I splattered the tag with some white paint, rubbed on some old rubon laying around on my desk, stamped with my new Hero Arts Cling stamp "Watch Gears" then sprinkled glitter on it. Layered some butterflies that I had punched out ages ago but hadn't used yet. Added some Dusty Attic and if you didn't know it yet they are also doing their own flowers and leaves. The flower up the top is handmade and I finished the top of the tag with some tulle.

Overall I was pretty happy with the result, now just what to do with it...hmmm

Maybe I could make a series of them in the same colour and frame them when I have finished.

Thanks for looking and I hope you are all having a great weekend.  The weather here wasn't to bad, had a friend who was lovey enough to offered to take family photos so we spend a couple of hours doing that today.   We apparently filled a whole card and she said she got some good ones...lol  Can't wait to see them.

Bye for now

  1. Nice tag Fi! Love the stamped background! When I make tags I usually put them on my scrap pages i.e. my latest one I used the word "family" on the tag so I can put the tag on a 'family page' since most people have pics of their family. Be interesting to see what everyone else comes up with.

  2. I was going to say the same thing, this would look lovely on a page! Great idea though on the framing!

  3. This is a great tag Fi! I love the details - I'm the same. I like creating tags but never sure what to do with them when I'm done. :)

  4. thanks so much for the comment over at colorful! this tag is fab!! believe it or not i've just discovered dusty attic (where have i been) so i'm super excited to see how everyone else is using their "gorgeous" products! personally i think this would be a gorgeous tag for a nice gift for a mother or even a best friend. maybe wrap the gift with kraft paper add the tag and gosh who would even want to open it? super! then "they" could figure what to do with it from there. :) although the frame idea is pretty cool.. maybe even do 12 one a month.

As soon as I´ve tidied up the mess on my scrap-spot i will do one myself and post it:)And thanx for your lovely comment on my blog , I was thrilled over my two new mates this morning Big Hugs/ Angelica
