Funky Flair Studio & Guest CSi

Hi & Welcome

We are enjoying some beautiful cooler weather here in Queensland!  Today I think its going to be a high of 17 degrees which means I can keep a light jumper on all day. Yes I am one of those rare people that enjoy the cooler days.  Its easy to keep  warms  but so much harder to stay cool.

Well first up I have the Funky Flair Studio's July Challenge page.  Eve Rae certainly knows how to pick beautiful colours to get you inspired. Of course as a Design Team member we get to use the gorgeous products that Eve creates, however if you don't have any you can still play along.

These fun pics where taken of my daughter and a friend at his end of year graduation.  He is quite shy and it was so good to see pics of him coming out of his shell!!!

To create the background I have used a couple of different templates from Scrapmatts & The Crafters Workshop templates along with mixed media  products such as, gesso, textured paste, micro beeds, crackle flakes, inks and mists.  And without a heat gun it does take a couple  of days for these pages to dry.

This close up shows the adorable little funky flairs that I have used  and they can be purchased over here.  Each month there is a new release so you won't be dissappointed by the variety.

Next up as a Scrapmatts Design Team member we were asked to play along over at CSI and here is what I created agin using some beautiful Scrapmatts products.

To create the background on this one I've used gelatos, Prima stamp & template along  with some hand stitching.  The gorgeous  feather is from Scrapmatts and I have embossed with white and then inked the edges.  Letters have been cut using some old Quickutz dies and I have used washi tape on them.

And for those that have taken the time to read my blog posts, I mentioned a few posts ago I had been busy taking on other challenges so today I will share what I created for a swap.

We had to create a lap size quite no smaller than 701cm x 120xm and the bulk of the fabric had to be by a Design Tulla Pink.  On this one I have used applique work along with machine and hand stitching.

Loved how this turned out and can't wait to make another couple!!!

The arrows and feather patterns I was able to find as free patterns online, however the fox I had to create myself,   Had so much fun  making this and when you don't have pattern there are few learning curves and I didn't want to give it away when I had finished.  However I am sure the person that received was  more than  happy.

Well that is all from me today have a Happy Monday and thank you in advance any comments you may have time to leave.

Bye for now!!!
