A Little Crazy

Hi Everyone
Haven't been around much lately as things around here have been a little crazy.
With the end of financial year book work that needed to be done, so the tax man can have have his good time share, my husband offered to give my craft room an over haul.  I shuddered at the idea!!!

Move all my stuff out and paint not only walls but the floors as well!  That seemed like crazy person talk and my answer was no, to start with, just the thought of  moving everything out and not having access to my craft supplies seemed a little over whelming.  But it was out there now and the thought of freshening up everything got the better of me and I decided why not, lets just do it.

My husband sat down with me and drew up a design for a craft cupboard that would hopefully meet all my needs, cough, expectations.  Once that was sorted I moved on to getting a coat of paint onto the walls and floors.  In between it all I also fractured fingers in both my hands, one is the result of a netball injury the other we self inflicted doing sprints on the treadmill, had to be there to understand that one, lol.

So with hands only half working I am happy and cramping as I painted I am happy to share a picture with you all.  I am loving this colour against the white and can't wait until its all complete.  And a big thank you to my lovely husband who has been working 10 hour days and then spending his weekend trying to get my craft room done.

Here a sneek peak, the cupboard is now up and I have started loading it up but I will share that at a later date.

Thanks for dropping by and let me know what you think of the colours!!!

Take Care

Color Combos Galore 251

Hi Everyone, I hope you are all enjoying the weekend.  Its a beautiful sunny day here and its not to cold in the craft room so it looks like some creativity might be on the cards.  But before I do I would just like to share with you the new challenge over at CCG.

As always Janet has created a beautiful mix of colours and the Design Team have put together so awesome eye candy for you, why not pop on over and not only check out their work and last months top 4.  If you would like to be one of ouTop Five at the next Reveal!
Be sure to submit your project by Sunday, July 13 USA EST for your own chance at the spotlight!

Ready for the next challenge? We certainly hope so! Our Reveal, "Fade Into You", is a beautiful set of soft pinks mixed with a touch of green and some black, and the results, pure sophistication and elegance! This week, we have these four challenges to choose from: Elements, Typography, Pattern and Theme. For these Focus On challenges, we will be playing with shaped tags/labels, typewriter fonts, polka dots, and the opportunity to record some beautiful and romantic wedding/marriage photos. Choose one, or combine them all!

 MY TAKE ON THE CHALLENGE!!!

The picture is of a friend and I, we were on a night out and  my daughters friend picked up my phone and started taking pics of us.  We had been drinking quite a lot and were an awesome time, this photo in particular is when we discovered we were being photographed, lol.

I like the challenge of using the typography and it worked in well as I recently made a bargain purchase of an electric typewrite, I say bargain as it cost me $10.00 and included two extra tape cartridges and pick up was on the way home.

As you can see by these close up's,  I have used a lot of odds and ends that were lying around, really not something out of the norm for my scrapping style.

Well if nothing else I hope the photo at least but a smile on your face.  Thanks for stopping by and for any comments you may leave.

Take care and enjoy your weekend!!!

Black With 2 - Guest Designer

Hello and welcome again to my blog,  I don't think I have been this active in months.
Normally the colder weather keeps me out of the craft room and in front of the fire...who doesn't love to be all toasty warm starring into the flames of a fire!

This month I am a Guest Designer over at Black With 2!!!
This month sketch is super cute accompanied along side beautiful bold palette.
The word Tropicana was a little bit of a challenge for me,  however I did finally get it on my page.
