Color Combos Galore - Palette 206
This week's Monochromatic Palette was probably a little on the hard side, most would probably see these colours as simply black and white, but the colours were are a little more involved than that. We also had a recipe to follow, whoops... missed that memo, I didn't read correctly and use all of the recipe thankfully its not baking so its not a complete failure. I did get in the transparency, timber and my interpretation of a ledge. The pictures are of my kids and their cousins, I just love this shot of them playing in the sand.
Solitude - is a grey with a slight blue tinge
Driftwood - brownish grey
Forty Knots - orangish black
Silver Sands - Orange amberish gray
I delved into my stash and found some paper from EK Success Nostalgic Range, now this was really before its time as it already looks like gesso and texture paste was used on, no mess no fuss paper. I used some old Colleen Keen Moments in Time for the clocks and my timber piece is some chipboard covered with Ivory crackle from Two Busy mums.....yes these are really old and a touch of BG Scarlets Letter "Fare Thee Well". I cut pieces from these and adhered them to the background and painted over with gesso.
My interpretation of the ledge is the swirly chipboard underneath the photo I used modelling paste over it and then added micro beedz in black and silver. The photos are matted with the brown/grey shimmer cardstock and I have used two transparencies under and over the photos.
Chipboard pieces are from Dusty Attic, pearls and flowers are from Prima, Cameo is a Kaiser rubon, letter stickers are from Crate paper Portrait range and Basic Grey micros.
Thanks for looking feel free to ask me any questions and thank you for comments you may leave. Enjoy your weekend and I look forward to see your creations in the gallery if you have time.
