So You Think You Can Scrap - Week 7

Hi Everyone, hope the week so far has treated you well and you've had some time to get creative.
Mine has been its usual busy self between ripping up floors getting reading for tiles and just everyday running around it seems I barley have enough time to sit down and get some scrapping done.
I did however finally get time to finish off my page for the competition we have running over at

This weeks challenge to use a sketch and stay true to that sketch, we were  only allowed to use the colours red, yellow, blue and green.  Handstitching, misting and fussy cutting also had to be included on the page.

MY TAKE

I love this self portrait my daughter has taken of herself and thought it worked beautifully with the colours.

I think I have stayed true to the sketch but still allowing my style of scrapbooking show.  I wasn't overly keen with the colour selection to start with but now I actually really like them.

I have quite a mix of papers on this one Websters, Cosmo Cricket and Kaiser all pretty much out of the scrap pile.

The background was created on a Cosmo Cricket  "Nows A Good Thing" sheet of paper that I  texture pasted and I have then misted.  I fussy cut the red and yellow splashes  from the Sea Garden range of Cosmo Cricket.

Other product use:  Echo Park die cut banners & journal block, Prima flowers, Fiskars & Martha Stewart punches, Cherry Lynn flourish die, glitter and dimensional pearls.

Thanks for looking and for taking the time to leave your lovely comments.
