It's Been Awhile

Hello & Welcome

Well it's been awhile since I've posted as always our household is full steam ahead into the New Year.

My daughter purchased her new home late last year and we thought settlement was never going to happen due to bank errors.  Finally it happened and now I'm that little bit busier back and forwards between the two.

I also just spent a lovely week up at Toowoomba, my friend Marissa and I try and spend the whole time scrapping, but it seems some days we spend more time out socializing, shopping and eating.
Needless to say I did get a few Design Team project done as well as a couple of Challenges.

First up I have White With 1, the colour this month was Blue Jean
I think the challenge is more about trying to keep to the 80/20 rule
which I don't think I did to badly at.

I have used some Color Blast white gesso and snow textured paste to create the background.  Followed by some lighter and darker tones of  Dark Blue watercolour paint and some hand stitching.

Again I have been stealing selfies of my daughter and when I spotted this older Kaiser line paper with the vintage female I created my page around how times have changed.

This close up shows the recycled clothing tags as well as the lovely Scrapmatts products.

The second challenge I played along at was Kraft Plus

I've totally flipped this sketch and interpreted it to accommodate my photo and I love how it turned out.  My daughter and I a big Gelato's lover's so if we see  a shop with it then "Say No More".  Our faves are Sorbets such as Blood Orange, Watermelon and Coconut.  No matter what the weather we cannot resist this beautiful cold treat.

To Create my background on the Kraft I have layered scrap paper and then once that was dry I have washed with gesso and splashed paint to get all the splatters.

On this close up you can see the adorable banner I have cut out twice and I've removed some of the pieces so that the 2nd pieces colour will show through.  I've also used a few sticker from Kaiser to create some of my background.

Well lovely scrapping friends, that's all from me today.  I still have my Funky Flairs Design Team canvas to share but will do that in the next couple of days.

Until Next time!!!!
