Celebrate Card & Dusty Attic Feature.

I was pretty excited to receive a email today saying that I had been featured over at Dusty Attic, I am a huge fan of these products they are so intricate... a definite must for your projects. Thanks so much for featuring my work!!!

I don't often make card but I have really been enjoying taking the time out and making some. I found this tutorial on how to make a box card, I have made cards over there years but not really put much effort into them as I figured most end up in the trash anyway. Anyway the tutorial sparked my interest but unfortunately I can't tell you exactly where I found the tutorial to make the box but I am sure it won't be too hard. I made it and it had been sitting on my desk for a few weeks, I use the word sitting loosely as I have picked up off the floor a couple of times as well...lol

So last week I decided after picking it up for the umpteenth time that I would finally use it. So here is the end result. I had cut this butterfly out of some Bo-bunny paper some time ago but had see it used so many on times layouts that it was starting to look a little old to me. So here I had another one of those items floating around that needed using before it ended up under my chair wheel.

I matted the front of the card first with some of the new prima ledger paper and stitched it down, followed by the cut butterfly which I also secured with two flower eyelets for the ribbon to pass through. I glitzed it all up with some Jo Sonja Opal Dust. Other products used are Dusty Attic mini chipboard, Prima flowers & Pearls, 7Gypsy metal clock and K & Company metal embellishment. I stamped the little quote on some of the scraps of paper.

I am sending this card to a friend in the UK and the box is perfect to pop a few hand made tags a handmade book mark or trinket even one those big cadbury frogs.

Thanks for looking and I hope you enjoyed.
