Dusty Attic goes High Tea

As promised here is the Hat I made for my friend for her High Tea Birthday Celebration, which was held at The Old Tea House Gallery in Mudgeeraba.

As  part of the High Tea experience they do encourage you to wear something fun, and of course what could be more fun than a cute little hat decorated with Dusty Attic whimsies and some beautiful blooms from Prima and Kaiser.

I have used the Peacock Feather, Mini Fairy's and the large Hour Glass.  I gave each these the special treatment of Matha Stewarts Course Glitter.

The High Tea experience was wonderful, I chose a Tea called "Pina Colada" no alcohol but I chose to have it chilled and it tasted exactly like it smelled...hmmmm I could do with a cup now. The food was plenty and just when you thought their was already enough out came a plate of Scones, all of it was delish. And although the weather was hot and humid it was soon out weighed by the company, such a great day. that was finished off with a shopping trip with the Birthday Girl. Its days like this that has reminded me I have been spending way to much time at the computer instead of socializing with real people in my life.

I have made this hat from a pizza box and some heavy card stock packaging, oh and a hot glue gun which I have found can be quite dangerous...Just Saying!!! I have the battle wounds to prove it...lol Thanks for looking. Fi
